The Christmas Dolls House

The Christmas Dollshouse

What a great Christmas present for a three year old. I struck it lucky back in the summer and found this dollhouse at a local car boot for just £7! It was 'beautifully' decorated with grubby wallpaper and thick red carpet so I stripped that all out and sanded down the inside. I scoured ebay for furniture (try searching for vintage dolls house) and managed to find nearly everything relatively cheap apart from a cooker which is a future goal. The tiny moomin mugs are actually christmas decorations, the bathroom set was found by lovely Lisa in a Barcelona fleamarket and the bunting was from Tiger for just £1. In these photos we were playing with penguin but the house is actually the perfect mouse house... more on that another day.

A Christmas Gift for a Lover of Dressing Up

I just discovered these beautiful animal headdresses by Sara Lowes at Animalesque via the Petit & Small blog. They come in kids and adult sizes and each one is beautifully hand made. Wouldn't they make an incredibly special gift for a lover of dressing up... I'll put one on your Christmas list Tess!

Drip Drip Drop Poster

Hooray, our first KidPlayDo poster is all ready to go. It's made from an original collage/drawing by our Kat and you can pick yours up here in our little Etsy Shop.

The original artwork (slightly smaller than the poster) in Kat's first flat, which, if you feel like a nosy, was featured on Designsponge here...

High Five - Etsy Shops

1.
There are quite a few play-tipi shops on Etsy but this one had me hooked when I saw their image of a boy and his furry friend. The monochrome striped versions are particularly great.
2.
I have a teeny tiny obsession with mini's wearing dungarees and this vintage store has a fab selection of Osh Kosh classics. Lust!

3.
This super cute hand printed t-shirts and leggings from Canada also sells the fabric uncut so you can create your own designs.

I've had my eye on these Scandi-style rabbits for quite a while. Brilliantly retro toys and cushions hand made in Devon.

It's nice to discover something a bit different and there's loads of fun quirky designs in this Korean store.
